TPA ’s History

The company was established in 2001 to meet the needs of underwriters and solicitors requiring a consistently high standard of services in specialised areas of insurance claims and litigation support. Our aim is to create a practice of Loss Adjusters recognised as the best in our chosen fields.

The growth demonstrated since 2001 is a strong indication of client endorsement and encouragement of the TPA approach. We have been able to grow our local team with the support of our customers and our continued desire to provide those customers with expertise and excellent service in our specialist fields

TPA Team

The TPA team now includes, Thomas Pasley, Peter Ziegler, Danie Keyser, Janene Paki and Peter Webb and Steve Kearvell with other "Experts" engaged as required, to provide specialist loss adjusting resources. The team approach ensures sufficient resources and expertise are available, particularly for multi-faceted losses. Specialist consultants, employed with our Principal's approval will provide support as required. The team harnesses it's considerable and diverse skills to complete assignments to a superior level of expertise and efficiency.

The TPA Approach

Achieving the effective resolution of claims, whether insured or not, requires a combination of technical, management and interpersonal skills. Our approach combines the teams' excellent technical skills with a people oriented, pragmatic attitude.

Communication - Effective communication, including expectation creation, is at the cornerstone of what we do. The complex losses that we work on typically involve a wide range of people. Frequently, individuals have a narrow perspective and specific involvement with the incident at hand. We pride ourselves on our ability to relate to people at all levels across organisations, to effectively elicit technical claim information, translate and then impart that information to the relevant people.

Pragmatism–There are many ways to skin a cat. We recognise that a line sometimes needs to be drawn between “technically perfect” investigation and analysis and commercial reality. In cases where the “right” answer may not be cost effectively obtained we will always refer to our client or principal for instructions. In such cases, we will provide options and a recommendation based upon our experience.

No Surprises – Key to client satisfaction is being kept up to date with correct and relevant facts. Where there are contentious issues, we believe in tabling them early.

Partnership – TPA considers that the successful resolution of claims is heavily dependent on the relationships between the parties. In terms of the claims handling team; lawyers, claims staff, adjusters and expert consultants, we aim to work as part of the wider team to achieve the best possible results.
